The Guide has been developed in collaboration with experts in research, health, universal design and support associations for children with disability. Together we have identified the specific features and needs of children with disability in play areas and measures that can be taken to compensate for differences and ensure accessibility for all.
The inclusive play functions and benefits of play equipment for children and accompanying adults are highlighted to help with the selection of the best play equipment for inclusive playgrounds. It is easy to see which play equipment is suitable for supporting children with particular disabilities.
Proludic is able to design and build inclusive playgrounds, supporting a project from start to finish. Alternatively, Proludic offers support to other designers. Our qualified landscape architects and play consultants are able to collaborate with other professionals, providing expert advice on designing inclusive play areas. The Proludic website also includes an "Inclusivity Compliant" tool to help with the selection of inclusive play equipment.
