We were excited to win GOLD at the 2018 Good Design Award® Australia Ceremony for our Kanopé range of modular nature-inspired play equipment. But the real reward is knowing we’ve developed an innovative product that keeps kids of all ages happy, active and stimulated.
Proludic’s Kanopé has received the judges’ nod of approval for outstanding design and innovation. The Proludic Team were thrilled to receive this feedback from the Good Design Awards jury:
“Very well executed, thoughtful design. This is a wonderful play environment for children that is colourful and dynamic. The playground pieces all come together to provide a fun and safe experience to children and offers a wide range of activities. So nice to see this design-driven company continue to innovate through design.”
The Kanopé range combines a modern aspect with natural inspirations and fits in both natural and urban play environments.
With the prevalence of urban living many children don’t get the opportunity to play in natural settings. Kanopé gives children the chance to live the adventure of the forest and provides them with physical challenges in a fun and safe environment. Trees, leaves, wild grasses, waterfalls and wildlife have been recreated in Kanopé with modern materials.
Each structure is an adventure trail with curved lines, organic shapes, and colours of a woodland world in motion. Younger children can explore ground level elements and lower-level platforms and older children attracted to the treetops can climb up to higher platforms and access thrilling slides. Multiple ropes bring transparency and movement with children climbing in all directions.
The forest green and timber-look colours allow designers to seamlessly integrate Kanopé into nature playgrounds.
Kanopé meets the need for play equipment that both reflects nature and is made to suit Australian conditions. The range uses sustainably sourced, robust materials that require minimal maintenance and are recyclable.
Made from steel, compact composite and recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, our designers have considered the full product and project lifecycle of each piece of play equipment
Based on our ISO14001 certified environmental management system, it’s easy to maintain and more economical in the long run than raw timber play equipment.
The modular design of the Kanopé range allows adaption of layout with customised elements to suit the requirements of individual sites. Designers are able to customise the play equipment and create their own combination by connecting play elements together.
Modularity is the golden rule for the Kanopé range.
The different elements connecting the platforms allow clients to design structures with varied play features.
“Stepping stones” and platform pathways enable designers to play with the different spaces and create lively combinations.
