Evergreen Reserve in Albanvale has been revitalised with a new playground designed to be a real meeting place for the whole community. This multi-generational playspace integrates into the leafy park setting, stimulating active fun for all and a connection with nature.

The Project Brief
The project brief from Brimbank City Council outlined the need for the new playspace to offer diversity in play and challenge for all age groups. A variety of activities that help children safely develop gross motor skills were required. The equipment also needed to include natural materials and a neutral colour palette to complement the character of the park. Transparent play equipment designs that help prevent improper use were required.
Active Play for All
Proludic’s design solution includes play equipment from our natural Robinia timber (Origin’) and timber Ixo ranges. They complement each other aesthetically, and provide diverse play activities for children of all ages. The Single Pyramid Net enables children to climb in all directions, whilst finding the courage to reach the top! Balancing, climbing, hanging, swinging, sliding and traversing are physical skills that can be mastered on the play equipment.
Young children
Smaller play items including a slide, Quatro springer and musical play ensure the little ones can join in the fun. The organic design of the Kanopé swings add a quirky and fun aspect to the playground. A variety of swing seats means everyone can play and swing high in the air!
Youth Space
An adjacent youth space includes Outdoor Ping Pong Tables, a half basketball court and fitness equipment. They provide opportunities for teenagers and adults to exercise and have fun together.
Park Furniture
Sheltered picnic tables provide the perfect place for everyone to rest and enjoy a snack.
Evergreen Reserve is a great example of a playground that has utilised Proludic play equipment from several different ranges in an aesthetically coherent and pleasing way. Our designs fuse play value and safety with aesthetics. The equipment perfectly fulfils the requirements of the clients’ brief, providing a broad range of active, fun activities for the whole family.
