Welcome aboard Port Germein Inclusive Playgound – an adventure like no other! This coastal playspace has been transformed into a seafaring wonderland where young explorers can dive into endless play. Inspired by the sea and designed with inclusion in mind. This unique playspace invites kids of diverse abilities to explore, imagine, and navigate their own high-seas journeys.
Play on the horizon
Everyone on deck! The Neptune (J1962) sailing ship has anchored at Port Germein and is ready to be explored. Little adventurers can climb the rigging like true deckhands, testing their balance as they go up different climbing points. Whether scaling to the top or balancing on beams, they will feel like they are conquering the waves. On deck, the slides await – the fireman’s pole is perfect for those quick escapes down to the lower levels. The traditional slide lets kids zoom down, feeling the rush of the salty sea air as they “slide into port.”
For our curious captains, there’s plenty of hands-on fun to explore with ropes, wheels, and navigational gear. Perfect for testing their fine motor skills, developing dexterity, and getting in on all the ship’s action. Just like real sailors! On deck is also where you a meet new faces and friendships are forged on every adventure, while young minds grow as they explore every corner of the ship.
Mini sailors
For the tiniest sailors, the Diabolo Baby Multiplay (J38706-C) at Port Germein playground is a mini adventure all its own! With cozy hideouts for secret “treasure,” a fun little slide and plenty of ways to climb, crawl, and explore, this space sparks imagination and friendship. Tactile and visual features keep young adventurers engaged while developing early motor skills, making it the perfect starting point for mini deckhands ready for big discoveries!
Play escapades for all
And the adventures don’t end here! On the All-for-One rope swing (J442-M), young explorers can balance, swing, and meet new friends. Pick a seat! Cradle seat, flat seat or pod swing the traditional swing set has it all. Plus, the pod swing lets everyone join in on the fun together!
Whether riding the Little Dolphin (J822) on a bouncy adventure or rowing the boat (J858) through imaginary seas, kids can dive into thrilling journeys and set sail on their own coastal escapades.

Jeannette Flynn, Mum of Texas, who has cerebral palsy
Jeannette Flynn recently shared her family’s positive experience with the new Port Germein Inclusive Playground. This spot has quickly become a favorite for her son, Texas, who has cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and epilepsy. The accessible layout and thoughtful features make it the only playground in the area they can use comfortably. Texas loves “butt scooting” around the equipment. He especially enjoys the carousel, baby slide, and pod swing, where he can play with his brother.
Jeannette expressed deep appreciation for the inclusive design, especially the accessible pathways that allow her to bring Texas from the car right to the play area. The playground’s smooth surfaces, social opportunities, and engaging play features provide a valuable space for families with accessibility needs in the community.
