A study undertaken by Camden Council has found there are more 12 to 17-year-olds in Mt Annan than any other suburb in the Macarthur region. This study identified the need for the development of a multipurpose outdoor youth space with larger adventure playgrounds to meet the needs of 12-17 year olds in the Camden LGA, as one of the top ten priorities. The location of this facility was decided owing to the growing youth population located in and around this area.
Exciting Play Areas and Activities for All Ages at Birriwa Reserve
A custom-designed Tower with Pyramid Net: The playspace centerpiece
Proludic is proud to have contributed to this large-scale playground project, featuring a stunning custom-designed Tower paired with a large Pyramid Net. Designed in a retro-futuristic style, the 4-meter-high Proludic Tower includes a thrilling 3-meter-high tube slide and a connecting bridge that leads to an impressive Galaxy Net climbing structure. The adventure doesn’t stop there – another bridge extends from the opposite side of the Pyramid, linking to a Double Metal Cableway (J516), and adding even more excitement for children.
Play activities for older children
To address the need for engaging play opportunities catering for pre-teens and teenagers, Proludic provided dynamic and challenging equipment designed specifically for older children. This includes the Skysurf (J3505), Rodeoboard (J3501), and Hip Hop (J2410) which offer exciting ways to stay active and entertained. The Sit & Lean Bars (J2825) create an inviting space for young people to gather, promoting social interaction and connection.
Play areas and activities for younger children
There are plenty of exciting play opportunities for younger children as well, with the Proludic Hexagonal Swing (J483), the Infinity Bowl, and the Dynamo Biggo Trovni Swing. The park also features a dedicated play area for young children designed with Proludic’s Metropolis theme. It includes the Rocketship (J4062), Motospace Springer (J847), Grafic Games Cuckoo (J2612-GF) and Dragster (J3601-GF). Additionaly, the Climbing Hut (J254), along with the Early Childhood Swing (R49-UMN-230) and Swingset (J473), complements this vibrant space, providing endless fun for little ones.
In addition to the playground, the park boasts an outdoor table tennis zone and two fenced multipurpose courts, complete with line markings for basketball and football, catering to sports enthusiasts of all ages.
The Grand Opening was a huge success, attracting hundreds of children who enjoyed playing on the equipment all day. Some even queued up eagerly to try their favourite Proludic play pieces!
