The functions and play activities found in the Origin’ Multiplay replicate and extend the play opportunities found in nature .

Balancing, climbing, crossing a flat or curved surface, moving from one position to another, anticipating distances and heights. Designed for use by children from 2 years of age, a staircase provides easy access to the “toddler” section of this large structure. Older children with more confidence and physical skills can climb into the older kids section via the sloping ramp with log battens, or up the ladder. The careful design of the Origin’ structure with its graduated challenges ensures children are able to safely “take risks” as they play and explore their capabilities.

Materials

The different posts (average diameter: 60 to 80mm / 100 to 120mm / 120 to 140mm) are made from sap free robinia. The robinia is sanded and has had its bark removed.... Robinia is naturally rot proof and does not require any additional chemical protection; it is equally extremely resistant to attacks from external sources (insects, fungi, climatic variations), guaranteeing the long term durability of the playground equipment. The panels, the climbing walls and the tunnel are made from larch (plank sizes 140 x 27mm / 45 x 68mm). Larch is naturally resistant and long lasting.

The roofs are made from larch logs (80 x 40 mm).

The platforms are made from a 12.5mm thick, textured, non-slip compact material (HPL). Further reinforcement is provided by galvanised steel supports, located on... the underside of the platforms. Read more
