This playground was designed with the intention that all children, regardless of their abilities, would be able to play side by side. It is the result of the collaboration between Wollongong City Council and the Touched by Olivia Foundation, the NSW government and other community groups.
This playground features colour-coded, textured sections for visually-impaired children; areas where hearing-impaired children can interact with noise and vibration; different active and quiet zones, including a water play area, for children with autism or other cognitive disorders.
