Serrell Street Reserve in Malvern East has been revitalised with a new play space designed in connection with the natural environment of the park. This peaceful playground is nestled amongst leafy green trees and provides children from 2 years old with a variety of play experiences that include physical, sensory and nature play activities.

Proludic was nominated to design, supply and install the new playground including shade sail, fence and park furniture.

As outlined in the design brief, the playground equipment was to incorporate timber elements to achieve an overall ‘nature’ aesthetic. It was a great opportunity for us to provide equipment from our Origin’ timber range including a custom Multiplay unit, Monkey Bars, Inclusive Pod Swing and Swings with junior and toddlers’ seats. Children can enjoy climbing, sliding, swinging and rocking sensations whilst developing their social skills!

The park was once home to a lawn bowls club, so Proludic created a custom red Lawn Bowls Springer and retained the existing lawn bowl post caps in the playground as a personalised nod to the park’s history. The addition of outdoor musical instruments with Percussion Play‘s Harmony Bell and Harmony Flower provides wonderful inclusive and sensory play opportunities for all.
